Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins, who is a Mexican American sportscaster. She currently works as a sportscaster for ESPN, working as an anchor of SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She began her career at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins speaks two languages and has been bilingual since the age of nine. This ability was instrumental in securing her first job at Univision, Miami. She had the opportunity to collaborate with producers from across the country on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. They divorced shortly thereafter and in 1995 her mother got married to with a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who passed away of kidney cancer in the year 2006. Antonietta was the senior of her high school, but she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to decide if it would be a good fit for her. As it turned out she loved the campus, and they offered the course she wanted. After graduation, she enrolled in the university as a media studies major. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was participant in her class established a long-lasting relationship with her. The passion he had for journalism as well as the confidence she had in herself encouraged her. She, in turn was determined to achieve the standards he set and to not fall short of his expectations.
